Socket, Switch and Fuse Replacement in Skopje
Most daily callouts are small jobs that take under an hour. A blown fuse, a socket that pulls out with the plug, a switch that sparks when you turn it on - all of it sorted in one visit.

A small job is not a small risk
Domestic electrical fires rarely start in a large installation. They start at a loose connection in a socket or an overloaded extension lead. A loose connection heats up every time it is used, the plastic around it darkens, and that goes on for months before anything happens.
So even the smallest replacement means checking the connection and the state of the cable behind the faceplate, not just a new faceplate over the old problem. If we find darkened insulation or a hot joint, we will tell you - and tell you whether it can wait.
Signs not to ignore
- Darkened or melted plastic around the socket
- A burning smell when something is switched on
- A socket that gets warm in prolonged use
- Sparking when a plug goes in or out
- A fuse that blows more than once
- A socket that pulls out of the wall with the plug
Rewireable fuses versus circuit breakers
An old rewireable fuse does protect, but once it blows it needs replacing and is often replaced with the wrong rating or, worse, with wire. A circuit breaker resets with a lever and cannot be bodged that way. If your board is still on rewireable fuses, replacing it is among the cheaper jobs with the biggest effect on safety.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will you come out for a single socket?
Yes. We come out for one outlet. If you have several small jobs, we finish them on the same visit.
My socket gets warm - how serious is that?
A warm socket points to a loose connection or overloading and should not be left. Best to stop using that socket until it has been checked.
My fuse keeps blowing, what does that mean?
It means that circuit is overloaded or there is a fault in the installation. Fitting a higher-rated fuse is not the fix - that only moves the danger to the cable.
Can a new socket be added without chasing?
Sometimes yes, if there is a circuit nearby and surface trunking is acceptable. If you want the socket flush in the wall, chasing is needed.
