We are currently tied up with larger jobs and are not taking phone calls. Leave a request through the form — we return and will contact you from October 15.

What the installation covers

  • Choosing positions - entrance, yard, till, storeroom; each camera with a clear purpose, not one per corner
  • Cameras indoor and outdoor, with night recording
  • Recorder and disk sized for the retention period you want
  • Power and cabling - preferably power over the network cable, for fewer runs
  • Remote viewing on a phone, with secured access
  • Showing you how to review footage and how to export a clip

Where you may record

This is the part most often skipped. A camera may cover your space - your yard, your entrance, your business premises. It may not record a neighbour's yard or entrance, nor public space beyond what is necessary to cover your own doorway.

Surveillance camera mounted on a building wall

Business premises with employees, and shared areas in apartment buildings, carry additional notification duties. We position cameras so the coverage is useful without reaching where it should not - which is in your interest too, because footage recorded against the rules is worth little as evidence.

Practical things that decide whether it is usable

  • A camera facing the sun or a street light gives you a silhouette, not a face
  • Mounted too high it records the top of a head - doorway height matters more than wall height
  • The disk overwrites in a loop; if it is small, footage is gone before you notice you need it
  • Without internet there is no remote viewing, but local recording continues

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cameras do I need?

Fewer than people usually think. Three cameras in the right places beat eight recording walls. Tell us what you want covered and we will propose a layout.

How long is footage kept?

It depends on the number of cameras, the resolution and the disk size. Tell us how many days you want kept and we size it accordingly.

Can I watch from my phone?

Yes, with secured access. That requires internet at the location.

Do you work on existing systems?

Yes - adding a camera, replacing a faulty one, replacing a disk, or repositioning one that is not giving a usable image.

Which number should I call?

Call - Daniel handles CCTV.
